Blog 17 - Almost to April

Video games! I have talked about these before, but I love video games. They're not only a major stress relief, a place of social interaction, and are a way to improve your motor functions/reflexes, but are they also fun! Many parents will agree that video games are a thing of the new day, and that kids should go outside. I disagree. I think that video games are amazing! Video games never gave anyone skin cancer from being in the sun. They've never broken a bone. Most importantly, video games keep kids OUT of trouble! Think about it. Kids who go out every night are much more likely to find themselves in negative situations, such as drug use, crime, sex, and even life threatening situations. Video games should be looked at as a positive outlet where kids can improve their well being and be kept safe at the same time.

Blog 16 - Another Late One

Puzzles! The exercise of the mind. Puzzles will be the subject of today. I love puzzles. I think that puzzles should be included in every academic schedule, as they not only warm up the mind, but do they also improve functioning speed. Puzzles are like reading but without the grind of staring at words. Don't get me wrong, I love to read, but books can't hold a candle to puzzling. Puzzles come in many shapes and sizes, and they are included in every part of your daily life, if you see them or not. I want you guys (my classmates) to respond with your favorite puzzle in the comments below! I personally enjoyed jigsaw puzzles in my earlier years, but have grown very fond of cross words and word searches.

Blog 15 - Late March

The is going to be the first of four, very late blogs. I was a bit short on things to write about, but I feel that I'm pushing the limit as it is so I need to get something down.

Spring break. The time of vacation for many, but if you are like me, then it is a time of sleeping in and staying up late. It seems that most everyone is going away for spring break, but not I. I am spending spring break right here in Michigan! Michigan really isn't that bad, and seeing as most people are urging to escape this place on every break longer than 2 days, it wouldn't surprise me to see a very barren attendance sheet on Monday. I know several people who skipped the short week before spring break, and it seems that every year, atleast 10% of the school misses the Monday after spring break. I don't know where I'm going with this so I'm going to end it now. The question I'm asking people is (feel free to respond below); how many spring breaks have you stayed in Michigan for? I think the answers might be a bit surprising!
