Blog 9 - An... Early December?

Well, I've used my two big subjects up for December on repairing November's, missing blogs, so I'm going to write about something a little less interesting today. Feel free to continue reading though!

Today's corny subject is about animals. More specifically dogs, but in general animals. As you may know, I love animals of all species. I love the disgusting pigs, the adorable dogs, and the rarely seen platypus's. You could say I have a little more than love for animals, as I have a quite extreme view on us.

You might of realized how I said 'us', as I classify Human Beings as animals too, and I don't see why we prioritize ourselves over every other species on this planet. Why are we so much better? Do you think the imaginary 'god' really put Humans above all else? I don't see chickens or horses starting global thermonuclear war, do you? No, that's because humans are the only species stupid enough to split an atom killing everything in a 5 mile radius. And war! Chickens don't have wars, do they? Nope, we are the only species that will kill it's own with no justifiable reason. (That means self defense, not oil, George Bush.)

Yes, I respect animals just as much as Humans, if not more. Humans cause destruction, death, disease, murder, theft, and war on a scale unseen by any other living thing on earth. But still, we call our selves better than everyone else. I think that animals are on an equal level as Humans. No less, no more.

I don't think we should be mass killing cows or chickens either. The food chain must occur, I know, but how can we call it legal to hold billions of chickens, cows, and pigs hostage, against their will, just to be slaughtered. We obviously must eat this tasty meat they produce, but they should live a happy life. If we are going to slaughter all of these helpless animals, they should at least be happy. Living in an unsanitary factory is not happiness.

I am not pleased with what we are doing. We are having a near genocide of hundreds of species just for our own self enjoyment. Animals have done nothing wrong, and we treat them like dirt. We should be the ones being mass eaten, we are the destructive species on earth. So if there is a god, I am also not pleased with him either. If this so called 'god' does actually exist, where is he? Why does he not stop these horrifying acts of murder? Oh yea, I'm Agnostic Atheist, that might clear some things up.
